2010 360 Rookie of the Year

Jamie Ball- 2010 360 Rookie of the Year
(White Lightning Motorsports) – November 22, 2010 –

This past weekend was the Knoxville Raceway Banquet at Prairie Meadows Racetrack & Casino. This weekend was to celebrate the success of myself and the other teams during the 2010 Knoxville Raceway season. There were over 550 who attended the banquet, which was a very great turn out. It was nice to see all of our racing friends, and nice to see them all dressed up. The night started off with me accepting the 2010 360 Rookie of the Year award. This award really meant a lot to me because in 1998 my father (Larry Ball Jr #5J) also received the same honors. To be able to achieve some of the same success as my dad is something special to me. After accepting that award I would also accept the 15th place in points for the 360 division and 8th place in points for the 305 division. The Knoxville Raceway has a very nice contingency program and many prizes would be given away. A total of eight chassis, 22 wing packages, two sets of shocks, two sets of quick change rear-ends, two fuel pumps and a set of All Pro Heads were handed out to drivers. I would win a set of Vortex Wings. In addition, the Knoxville Raceway Charitable Organization (KRCO) again provided insurance covering all Knoxville drivers for 2011 anywhere they may race. Also, each driver will receive a $600 gift certificate towards a new Bulterbuilt Professional Seat System, courtesy of KRCO. I would personally like to thank all of those KRCO members who were involved in all of the long hours that were put in during the 2010 season. What you do is truly amazing and unprecedented at any other race track in the world. The KRCO currently has no board members and they are looking for volunteers and board members to make the KRCO possible during the 2011 season. If you are willing and able please step up and help out the KRCO. If you need more information please contact me. Overall the 2010 season was a great rookie campaign for me and our team. We look to make 2011 just as successful if not more. Stay tuned for more photos and news during the offseason. On December 1, 2010 White Lightning Motorsports will be releasing a tenative 2011 schedule and also be releasing who the second driver will be of the L & J Enterprise Inc #5J for 2011.
