USAC EAST COAST WELCOMES WILWOOD ENGINEERING

The USAC East Coast Series is proud to welcome Wilwood Engineering as a Series supporter during the 2019 season. Wilwood brakes can be seen at race tracks across the country on many of the top running WoO, USAC, URC and USAC East Coast Sprint cars. Race / Technical expert Wilwood Dave Brzozowski is always willing to help racers with any questions they may have.

Since the founding of Wilwood in 1977 by Bill Wood, Wilwood has worked hands on with all types of partners including car builders, suspension experts, team engineers, and drivers at all levels, to refine it's components and systems by defining the required capacities and configurations necessary to deliver championship performance.

With headquarters in Camarillo, California, Wilwood employs approximately 250 people. Wilwood has on-shelf stock of more than 300 different brake calipers, 200 rotor designs, 100 master cylinder designs and a wide assortment of brackets, fittings, valves and brake lines. Wilwood's off-shelf brake calipers range in size from tiny calipers used on go-carts and light duty industrial equipment, to heavy duty original equipment brakes for the U.S. military Humvee.

Wilwood's engineering department uses the latest computer-aided design and manufacturing techniques in conjunction with finite element analysis, dynamic test and cycle test equipment, to find high-performance and reliability solutions for the most difficult braking tasks.

Wilwood will be awarding racers certificates weekly at the 2019 USAC East Coast races along with awarding one racer a complete set of brakes for a sprint car. A Wilwood sticker will be mandatory to be eligible for the brake system and for the weekly certificates. Usually when a racer tries Wilwood brakes, they stay with Wilwood brakes.
