The Property Solutions of America Midwest Sprint Touring Series celebrated the 2018 season Saturday night at Grand Falls Casino near Larchwood, Iowa. Series champion Lee Grosz was in the group of drivers to take hardware home following the awards program.
Grosz not only took $7,500 for the series title, the Harwood, North Dakota, team also claimed the Team of the Year Award. The team placed in the top ten at every event except for one and took three feature wins on the road to the championship.
Dylan Opdahl of Madison, South Dakota, is the 2018 MSTS Rookie of the Year. Opdahl made 13 feature event starts in his first year behind the wheel of a 360 sprint car. His best finish of the year was 13th place.
Brenda and Terry Post were honored with a Dedication to Racing Award. Terry serves as the series technical inspector while Brenda handles duties inside the MSTS officials’ trailer – coordinating draws, posting important information and offering a helping hand whenever needed. The Doon, Iowa, duo put on many miles each summer traveling to MSTS shows – pulling the series trailer to all of those events.
Property Solutions of America has been the MSTS title sponsor since the tour’s inception four seasons ago. Ken and the crew with Property Solutions of America was also honored during the awards ceremony. Several other important MSTS sponsors were also honored including Sea Foam, Cressman Sanitation, Underberg Lawn Service, Jackson Motorplex and Autoland.
