American Sprint Car Series Updating Safety Rules For 2019 Season

Bryan Hulbert – TULSA, Okla. (November 7, 2018) For the 2019 season, the American Sprint Car Series will update the rules regarding chassis safety to be proactive in the protection of the drivers as we work in alliance with the newly formed Sprint Car Council.

“We’ve been watching how the rules and wording have progressed and feel it necessary to move forward. Considering events over the past couple seasons, there is a definite need for change in the industry and this is a start in the right direction,” stated ASCS National Director, Matt Ward.

Currently, several sanctioning bodies and tracks across the country are working to finalize the wording on the rules going forward and those will be posted to the ASCS rules page as soon as they are finalized.

No other rules changes are in line for the 2019 season regarding the ASCS engine package, format, membership requirements, or point structure.
