Inside Line Promotions – DELPHOS, Ohio (Oct. 10, 2018) – Shawn Dancer last raced in late September at Eldora Speedway during the 4-Crown Nationals, which showcased a doubleheader with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Cars and the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions.

The action began on Sept. 21 as Dancer qualified 19th quickest in his group, which started him 10th in his World of Outlaws heat race. He was able to pass one car to record a ninth-place finish.

“We didn’t run very well in the heat,” he said. “There was a good number of cars there so we were relegated to the C Main. We started seventh and gained one position to finish sixth. That was the end of our night with the Outlaws, but we were looking forward to the next night with the All Stars.”

Dancer bounced back the ensuing night during the All Star event. He changed some things on the car and it was an immediate difference as he qualified third quickest in his group. Dancer started on the outside front row of a heat race and was leading until a caution came out. He got ran into on the restart and ended third, which missed a spot into the dash by only one position.

“We started 14th in the feature and the car felt decent,” he said. “We made our way up to 10th by the end of the race. It wasn’t a bad race. We just didn’t gain as many spots as we had hoped.”

Dancer will race with the World of Outlaws this Friday at Jacksonville Speedway in Jacksonville, Ill., and Saturday at Terre Haute Action Track in Terre Haute, Ind., during the Wabash Clash.
