KOKOMO, IN (October 6, 2018) - The much-anticipated debut of the POWRi Lucas Oil WAR Wildcard League at Kokomo Speedway will be available for all to watch tonight! For those at home, www.SpeedShiftTV.com is offering a LIVE BROADCAST of tonight's action for $24.95. Along with the WAR Sprints, "Indiana's Baddest Bullring" is also hosting the All-Star Circuit of Champions.
In last night's WAR appearance at Jacksonville, Landon Simon stepped up big with his championship hopes on the line and fended off Thomas Meseraull and Dave Darland to take the win. Coming into tonight's show at Kokomo, Simon, who hails from Tipp City, Ohio, but plants his LSR shop in Indianapolis, has a 98-point advantage over Korey Weyant of Springfield, Illinois.
A race that has quickly become one of the must-see events in the latter half of 2018, tonight's show at Kokomo promises a thrilling show with star power everywhere. As such with a WAR Wildcard sanction, the regulars such as Simon, Weyant, Wissmiller, Clouser, Helt and Leer will be in attendance.
The main attraction tonight, however, is Princeton, Indiana's Kyle Cummins and the potential for $20,000 in the Bell Racing USA Triple Crown Challenge. After winning at Lake Ozark and Lucas Oil, Cummins is one victory away at Kokomo from securing a huge five-figure payday in what has become a thrilling challenge to see unfold.
Headlining a fleet of challengers coming to Kokomo is the reigning WAR Sprints "Ultimate Challenge" champion, Cullman, Alabama's Kevin Thomas Jr. in the Hoffman Auto Racing No. 69. Tyler Courtney of Indianapolis, Indiana will pilot the Clauson-Marshall-Newman Racing No. 7BC, and has plenty of experience with his 2017 "Smackdown" championship at Kokomo.
Justin Grant, a two-time winner with the WAR Sprints, will be running with his TOPP Motorsports No. 4 machine. Chris Windom of Canton, Illinois is a four-time WAR Wildcard winner and will be driving the Baldwin Brothers Racing No. 5. Oklahoma's Tyler Thomas, who won a preliminary night at "Smackdown" in August, will be running the Epperson No. 2E. Making his WAR Sprints debut, the rising young gun of Jason McDougal will be in the Phillips-Daigh Motorsports No. 71P.
Make sure to tune into www.SpeedShiftTV.com tonight or follow along on social media at @WARSprints to keep up with this must-see event!
