Dover Prepared for Double Duty Saturday at U.S. 36 Raceway

Inside Line Promotions – SPRINGFIELD, Neb. (Oct. 2, 2018) – Last weekend Mother Nature intervened when Jack Dover planned on doing double duty at his home track.

This Saturday Dover will travel to Missouri and will attempt to race both 360ci and 305ci winged sprint cars at U.S. 36 Raceway in Osborn. It will mark the season finale for the ASCS Warrior Region.

“Unfortunately, last weekend rained out at I-80 Speedway,” he said. “Hopefully the weather cooperates this weekend and we can get a couple of races in. We’ve always really enjoyed racing at U.S. 36 Raceway and have had a lot of success there.”

Dover was victorious at the high-banked track in June during his lone visit this season. He was fourth at the oval last year and won a race in 2016, 2014 and 2013. That gives him four wins, six podiums and seven top fives in eight races there since the start of the 2013 season.

“It gives you a lot of confidence rolling into a track where you’re almost always a contender,” he said. “I think we’ll have the 360 set up well, but we’ve never raced a 305 at U.S. 36 Raceway so that will be a little different. It won’t have the power to pull you out of trouble so you have to be smooth and on the gas.”

Dover’s 12 wins this season is tied for his fifth most in a single season. He has won 15 races in a season twice in his career and 14 races in a season twice in his career.

SEASON STATS –

41 races, 12 wins, 24 top fives, 30 top 10s, 34 top 15s, 37 top 20s
