Inside Line Promotions – YORK HAVEN, Pa. (Sept. 24, 2018) – Trey Starks will return to action this weekend during one of his favorite events.
The Gobrecht Motorsports driver is slated to invade Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pa., on Friday and Saturday for the Champion Racing Oil National Open. The World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series doubleheader is capped by a $56,000-to-win main event on Saturday.
“Not only is it one of the biggest paying races in sprint car racing, the National Open is one of the most prestigious,” Starks said. “We’ve had some success at Williams Grove and during the National Open so hopefully we can put a couple of strong performances together and race up front.”
Starks earned his first career feature victory at Williams Grove Speedway last year and he backed it up with another triumph during the famed Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek this summer. He also has results of fifth, eighth and ninth at the half-mile oval this season.
Starks competed last Thursday at BAPS Motor Speedway, where he was credited with a sixth-place result.
