Inside Line Promotions – LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Sept. 19, 2018) – Harli White is looking to build off last year’s finish during the Jesse Hockett/Daniel McMillin Memorial when she returns to Lucas Oil Speedway this Thursday through Saturday for the eighth edition of the famed event.

White earned the Hard Charger Award for passing the most cars in the main event of the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour presented by SawBlade.com event finale last year.

“It was a good way to cap the event after a couple of frustrating nights to start everything,” she said. “I think we’re in a better place now than we were last year so I’m excited to see how we stack up.”

White’s career-best result at the track in Wheatland, Mo., came last year with a 13th-place finish. Her 15th-place result during the Hockett/McMillin Memorial finale marked the third season in the last four years that she’s netted a top 15 during the marquee event.

“This event gets bigger and better each year,” she said. “There is always a big car count with a lot of talented drivers so the first goal is to make the A Main each night and then go from there. Spending the last two years on the road full time with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour helps prepare you for events like this so hopefully we will have a strong performance and will top how everything went last year.”

White competed at I-30 Speedway last Saturday during the ASCS Mid-South Region and ASCS Red River Region co-sanctioned Ralph Henson Memorial. She placed sixth in a heat race before rallying from seventh to fourth place in a B Main, which was just shy of transferring into the main event.

“With a lot of cars racing we needed to have a better heat race to put ourselves in a position to make the A Main and then move forward,” she said. “With that said, it was good to get more laps at I-30 Speedway prior to the Short Track Nationals coming up in a couple of weeks. I think we learned some things that will help us when we go back.”
