Just Three Races Remain in Closest Ever Four-Way Battle for the World of Outlaws Title: Jason Meyers Remains Out Front

Concord, NC—October 10, 2010—Only three races remain on the 2010 calendar for the World of Outlaws as the closest-ever four-way points race in series history continues with Jason Meyers leading 20-time series champion Steve Kinser, four-time and defending series titlist Donny Schatz and Joey Saldana.

Meyers used a third-place finish on Saturday night at Rolling Wheels to remain on top of the standings as he chases his first title and looks to become the first driver ever from the state of California to win the series championship. The veteran qualified fourth at Rolling Wheels to earn two bonus points in the standings and leads all of the title contenders in bonus points earned this season in time trials. He has won 10 times and has 53 Top-10 finishes with 34 of those being Top-Five performances.

Kinser, who is second in points, used his ninth win of the season, to gain four points on Meyers and is now 98 markers back as the series heads to Tri-State Speedway in his home state of Indiana next weekend. Kinser leads the series with 55 Top-10 finishes and 38 Top-Fives as he chases his record 21st title.

Schatz finished second at Rolling Wheels to remain third in points. He is just eight markers behind his teammate Kinser for second and 106 out of the lead. The four-time and defending series champion opened the New Yorker 25 on Saturday night by setting fast time to earn five bonus points in the standings. He has 51 Top-10 finishes this season with 35 Top-Five performances.

Joey Saldana finished 11th at Rolling Wheels to remain fourth in points and is now 133 markers out of the lead. The second generation driver leads the series with 13 A-Feature wins and has racked up 47 Top-10 finishes of which 36 are Top-Fives.

Jason Sides picked up his 50th Top-10 finish of the season at Rolling Wheels and remains fifth in points. Paul McMahan, who scored his 48th Top-10 is just behind Sides in sixth,19 point behind him as the pair continues to battle for the fifth spot.

Craig Dollansky picked up his 33rd Top-10 finish of the season on Saturday night to remain seventh in points, with Lucas Wolfe in eighth.

Danny Lasoski earned his 33rd Top-10 finish of the season on Saturday night to remain ninth in points.

Kraig Kinser, who led the first 16 laps at Rolling Wheels finished fourth to pick up his eighth Top-Five finish of the season to remain 10th in points.

The World of Outlaws return to action on Saturday, October 16 at Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Indiana for an event that was postponed by rain earlier this season.
