Lee Grosz capped off his 2018 Property Solutions of America Midwest Sprint Touring Series championship by taking the win Friday night at the Rapid Nationals. This was the third win of the MSTS season for Grosz, all of them at Rapid Speedway.
Eric Lutz took the initial lead of the feature from pole position. The Jeremy Scadden Construction would run out front until a restart on lap 12. Grosz would build momentum on the top side of the track and take the lead off turn two one lap after the green reappeared.
At the checkered, it was Grosz followed by Lutz and Jody Rosenboom. Interestingly enough, that was the order of the top three in the season points as well, with Lutz just two markers ahead of Rosenboom in the final tally. Fourth place went to Tommy Barber ahead of Dylan Peterson.
The Autoland Hard Charger went to Lee Goos Jr. who finished 7th after starting 17th. Brant O'Banion received the A Plus Towing and Repair hard luck award. O'Banion had driven from 12th to 7th when mechanical troubles sidelined the #20.
