Inside Line Promotions – La FARGEVILLE, N.Y. (Sept. 13, 2018) – One of Joe Trenca’s favorite events of the season is on tap.
The Mucci Motorsports driver is heading to the 14th annual Canadian Sprint Car Nationals presented by Arrow Express, which is hosted by Ohsweken Speedway in Ohsweken, Ontario, Canada, this Friday and Saturday.
“I’m looking forward to heading back to Canada,” he said. “It will be our first time there this year. We’ve had some decent runs at Ohsweken Speedway so hopefully we can put together a strong weekend.”
Trenca posted a career-best seventh-place result at the oval last year and his best Canadian Sprint Car Nationals finish was eighth in 2014.
Trenca and his team competed in his home state last Saturday during a Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints show at Can-Am Speedway. He placed eighth in a heat race and fourth in the B Main before advancing from 22nd to 18th in the A Main.
“It took rubber early so it was tough to move forward all night,” he said. “You always want to start up front, but that was a night where you needed to start up front to be successful.”
Trenca enters this weekend with three top 10s in his last six 360ci winged sprint car races.
