26 Promotions – Casa Grande, AZ – (September 5, 2018) – After a seven-week break, Dale Eliason Jr returned to action this weekend with the Power 600 Series at Central Arizona Speedway where he claimed his sixth victory of the year during an eventful two nights of racing.

“We hadn’t raced in a while and Saturday night was non-wing, which is my favorite, so I was very excited to get back into the car,” said Eliason Jr. “We pulled a good number in pill draw and started on the pole in the second heat. I was gone, the car was set up perfect.”

Eliason Jr’s win from the pole position locked him into the invert, placing him on the inside of the third row to start the feature event.

“Within the first three laps I was up to third,” he explained. “Then I entered the corner too high and spun out and got sent to the back. Within two laps I was back up to third and got tangled up with fourth and was sent to the back again. I managed to work my way back up to third with six to go, and as I was gaining on the leaders, they made contact with each other and second spun out. I was able to work my way around the leader with four to go to take home the win.”

After a successful first night, Eliason Jr bolted on the wings for night two of the Hank Arnold Memorial.

“I was very confident going into Sunday’s wing race,” he said. “We started fifth in the first heat, and I was up to second within three laps. The car was tighter than I wanted it to be, so it was pushing pretty bad, but we ended up finishing in second.”

The Iceman would make the feature invert for the second straight night and would again start on the inside of the third row for the 20-lap feature.

“We were in the lead on the first lap,” explained Eliason Jr. “There was a restart with three laps completed, and as I went to shift, the car wouldn’t go. I was pushed off the track, and we were done for the night with a broken transmission.”

Eliason Jr would be credited with an 11th-place finish, making this the first time he’s finished outside the top-five this season.

The Eliason Motorsports team will be hard at work this week getting the car together for this weekend’s American Heroes event at Central Arizona Speedway.

Dale Eliason Jr would like to thank Affordable Powder Coatings & Affordable Extreme Coatings, Custom Caretaking Plus INC, Guhl Motors, Industrial Machinery Services, PMP Chassis, Hamblin Motorsports, Radical Race Gear, and T & K Repair for their continued support.
