At a Glance: Morgan Hughes National Open at Williams Grove Speedway

Concord, NC—September 28, 2010—

WHAT

•One of the crown jewels of sprint car racing, the $50,000 to-win Morgan Hughes National Open at the famed Williams Grove Speedway is up next for the World of Outlaws on Friday, October 1 and Saturday, October 2. The closest four-way points race in series history continues with Jason Meyers leading the standings as the series heads to Williams Grove for the final time this season. The California native holds a 50-point advantage over 20-time series champion Steve Kinser, with Joey Saldana third, 85 markers out of the lead and four-time and defending series champion Donny Schatz fourth, 89 points back. Each night this weekend will be a full racing program, culminating with the 40-lap National Open on Saturday night with the cameras from SPEED capturing all of the action of the finale for broadcast at a later date.

WHEN

•On Friday, October 1 at Williams Grove Speedway, the pit gates will open at 3:30 p.m. Eastern, with the grandstand gates opening at 5:45 p.m. Eastern with time trials set for 7:45 p.m. Eastern.

•On Saturday, October 2 at Williams Grove Speedway, the pit gates will open at 3:30 p.m. Eastern, with the grandstand gates opening at 5:45 p.m. Eastern with time trials set for 7:45 p.m. Eastern.

WHERE

• Williams Grove Speedway is located in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. Take U.S. 15 seven miles southwest of I-76, go 1 1/2 miles northwest on SR 74, then west on Park Place.

TICKETS

•On Friday, October 1 at Williams Grove Speedway, adult general admission tickets will be $28 with general admission tickets for those ages 13-20 $15 and children ages 12-under free of charge. For tickets call the track at 717-679-5000.

•On Saturday, October 2 at Williams Grove Speedway, adult general admission tickets will be $35 with general admission tickets for those ages 13-20 $18 and children ages 12-under admitted free of charge. For tickets call the track at 717-679-5000.
