Huge September Schedule

Huge September Schedule

The Bumper To Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprint Series has a huge month of September scheduled, filled with traditional annual events, and a few surprises too. Included are 9 point races which take a great point battle to date and adds even more excitement as Scotty Thiel and Jake Blackhurst have traded the top spot in recent weeks, with Jeremy Schultz on the charge and closing. Doubleheader weekends galore fill the schedule beginning this Labor Day weekend as things kick off Saturday with the Sheboygan County Fair race at the Plymouth Dirt Track. Then Sunday it's a short drive northeast to the 141 Speedway. Both events are also part of the Hopf Farms Bullring Showdown, series within a series, and to add even more hype, Tony Stewart is planning on competing both nights.
The following weekend IRA makes its' traditional trek up north headlining the Northern Nationals in Superior Fri Sept 7th, and then heads two short hours south to the Cedar Lake Speedway for the prestigeous Jerry Richert Memorial Saturday night.
Sept 14th is the Clay Co Fair in Spencer, IA and then Saturday the 15th is the long awaited IRA return to the Deer Creek Speedway (MN), the event falling to rain last year after a several season IRA absence.
Saturday Sept 22nd IRA returns to Beaver Dam Raceway's Scott Semmelmann Memorial and Round 4 of the Hopf Farms Bullring Showdown, and Sunday the 23rd it's the annual Bill Waite Jr Memorial at LaSalle Speedway (IL) and a $6000 to win pay day.
The month of September concludes with the 2-day Wisconsin Sprint Car Championships / Checkered Classic at the Plymouth Dirt Track. Full IRA 410 shows each night that will encompass the Hopf Farms Bullring Showdown finale, the Rocky Rococo Challenge which has a bonus for the top point earners combined over the 2-day weekend, the Christmas in September bonus added by the Fenske Family in honor of the late Roy Fenske, and IRA will pay tribute to series legends Frank Filskov and Rick Schmidt (who had their annual Memorial races fall victim to weather earlier), as well as remembering long time IRA' official's Dick Wiit and Dick Symoens. The weekend features championships for the AutoMeter Wisconsin wingLESS Sprint Series both days, plus the PDTR/MSA 360 Sprints and WIMS Mini Sprints on Saturday.
