ASCS Red River And Warrior Regions Set For Heartland Park Showdown

(August 23, 2018) Slated for Saturday, August 25 the American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Red River Region presented by Smiley’s Racing Products will go head-to-head with the Speedway Motors ASCS Warrior Region presented by Impact Signs, Awnings, and Wraps at Heartland Motorsports Park in Topeka, Kan.

The second matchup of the season between the two ASCS Regional Tours at Heartland Motorsports Park, the first showdown on May 4 went the way of the Warrior Region with Jonathan Cornell grabbing his first of five wins on the 2018 season.

The only ASCS sanctioned event on the weekend, extra money has been added to the Saturday payout with the show now paying $2,222 to win, $322 to start.

On the Red River side of the battle, Alex Sewell leads the 2018 tour standings by 239 points over Lance Norick with Fred Mattox, Jake Greider, and Charles McManus making the top five. For the ASCS Warrior Region, Miles Paulus has a 177 point buffer over Evan Martin as Aidan Roosevans, Kyle Bellm, and Jonathan Cornell give chase.

Saturday, August 25 at Heartland Motorsports Park opens at 5:00 P.M. with races getting underway at 7:30 P.M. (CDT).

The night’s card includes B-Mods. Admission for adults is $15 with kids 6-12 admitted for $3. Children five and under get into the grandstands for free.
