Inside Line Promotions – HEATH, Texas (Aug. 15, 2018) – Travis Rilat is aiming for his first feature victory of the season.
The BDS Motorsports pilot will return to the Midwest this weekend for Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour presented by SawBlade.com races on Saturday at Hamilton County Speedway in Webster City, Iowa, and on Sunday at Missouri State Fair Speedway in Sedalia, Mo.
“We’ve had a fast race car all year long,” Rilat said. “We have just had some terrible luck and I have made some mistakes. The competition these days is so strong that you can’t have misfortune and you can’t make mistakes if you want to win.”
Saturday will be Rilat’s first visit to Hamilton County Speedway and Sunday will mark his first trip to Missouri State Fair Speedway in several years.
“I enjoy going to new tracks, especially when it’s new to everyone and no one has a competitive edge,” he said. “We all should be learning on the fly in hot laps and then hoping to be in a good position heading into the heat races.
“We haven’t been to Missouri State Fair Speedway in quite a while so that will be semi-new as well. Hopefully we can pick up where we left off there quickly.”
Rilat enters the weekend ranked ninth in the ASCS National Tour championship standings.
