The AMSOIL USAC National Sprint Car series concludes its Midwest run this weekend with the “4-Crown Nationals” at the Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio. The Sprint cars compete on Saturday night, along with the Silver Crown and Mopar National Midgets. Practice and qualifications for the Silver Crown and Midget series are Friday, but all USAC Sprint car activity at the half-mile dirt oval is Saturday.
Levi Jones remains atop the standings, 88 points ahead of Bryan Clauson entering the Eldora race.
Jerry Coons Jr., who drives for Dynamics, Inc. of Milford, Ohio, is the defending champion of the “4-Crown” Sprint race and will seek the team’s record 76th victory. They won at Lawrenceburg earlier this season.
A 30-lap feature awaits the Sprint cars Saturday, following a 25-lap feature for the Midgets and prior to the 50-lap main event for the Silver Crown cars.
The AMSOIL USAC National Sprint Car series then moves west for events at Perris and Tulare, Calif. to conclude the 2010 campaign.
