I-80 Speedway Greenwood, NE (July 27, 2018)—A beautiful evening at I-80 Speedway filled the stands and brought 18 quality sprint cars to the 4/10 mile oval south of Omaha, Nebraska. With 7 races remaining, the points battle between the top four in points, Jack Dover, Jason Martin, Cody Ledger and Shayle Bade are only separated by 370 points.

It was Chris Martin of Ankeny, Iowa who lead all 25 laps of the A feature, and took the win. “We had a great starting position on this track and took advantage of it on the first lap. The top was rolling in real good and the track prep actually helped the top a bunch. This has always been a race track I’ve been coming to since I’ve started racing sprint cars. I’ve been wanting to win here so it’s been pretty cool. We’ve picked up a bunch of speed during the ASCS speedway week and our northwestern tour and we were able to carry it back here as we prepare for the 360 nationals next week. We had some bad luck with mechanical issues last week but we are glad we could redeem ourselves. I have to say thank you to Dennis, I couldn’t be here without him, Cory, Caden, and friends and family who support me even during the tough months. I have to thank my sponsors, C&D Elevator Construction, Global Fabrication, Moyle Racing Engines, Maxim Chassis, Weld Wheels, and all of my other partners I can’t thank enough!"

The Saldana Racing Products pole winner of Seth Brahmer lead the field to the green flag with Chris Martin to his outside. Brahmer got a great start as he took the lead into turn one but Chris Martin took to the high side in turns 3 and 4 to take the lead on the first lap. After 5 laps, Chris Martin still lead but Jamie Ball was 1.5 seconds behind Martin as Brahmer ran third, Cody Ledger 4th and Jason Martin 5th. Jack Dover, who started 17th, had made his way to 8th after just 8 laps. With 10 laps down, Chris Martin still lead as Dover moved up 9 positions to 8th. At the same time, Chris Martin reached lap traffic as Jamie Ball still remained about a second and a half behind Martin. As laps were winding down, Dover positioned himself in 5th with 7 laps to go. Chris Martin remained a straightaway ahead of Jamie Ball as the action still remained on Dover as he caught 4th running, Cody Ledger. to take over that spot. Dover then took third away from Brahmer with 3 to go. Time ran out as Chris Martin sailed to a victory over Jamie Ball.
