Inside Line Promotions – CLAY, N.Y. (July 25, 2018) – Joe Trenca will compete in both his 410ci winged sprint car and 360ci winged sprint car in his home state this weekend.
The Mucci Motorsports driver is slated to race on Saturday at Outlaw Speedway in Dundee, N.Y., during the Summer Nationals before venturing to Weedsport Speedway in Weedsport, N.Y., on Sunday for a World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series show.
“It’s going to be a good weekend,” he said. “We get to run both cars and race close to home. A lot of friends and family can come out and spend the weekend with us.”
Trenca earned his career-best result of second place at Outlaw Speedway last season when he posted a top-10 finish during four of his five races there. He also netted a top-10 result during his only race there in both 2016 and 2015.
“I’m looking forward to getting back there and redeeming ourselves,” he said. “The last time we were there I’d say we were the fastest car, but I made a mistake and misjudged a car. That’s racing. We just need to put a whole night together. We have a lot of confidence going into Saturday.”
Trenca is just as excited to make his season debut with the World of Outlaws.
“Every time we go to Weedsport we get a little better,” he said. “We have to get time trialing down. That track is tough for me to time trial at for some reason, but we’ve been racing the 410 more this year and I think that’s helped us.”
Additionally, Trenca is excited to announce he will make his non-wing super modified debut with Jason Simmons Racing during the 62nd annual Budweiser International Classic 200 at Oswego Speedway in Oswego, N.Y., during Labor Day Weekend.
