Lonnie Wheatley, WINCHESTER, Ind. (July 19, 2018) – With the summer heat intensifying, so does the racing action. And, in Indiana, that means that it’s time for the USAC Amsoil National Sprint Car “Indiana Sprintweek”.
Bracy Bacon and the Brady Bacon Racing No. 99 Sprint Car team are excited to announce that they have partnered with Elliott’s Custom Trailers & Carts and the Tony Elliott Foundation for this year’s edition of Indiana Sprintweek.
“We’re thrilled to have Elliott’s Trailers and the Tony Elliott Foundation as title sponsor for Sprintweek,” Bacon commented. “It’s the support from partners like them that make it all possible to go out and do what we do.”
Bacon’s first of seven races in nine nights is set for Friday night at Plymouth Speedway before moving on to Kokomo Speedway on Saturday night and then Lawrenceburg Speedway on Sunday.
After a quick two-day breather, the final four nights run off in succession on Wednesday through Saturday, July 25-28, at the Terre Haute Action Track, Putnamville’s Lincoln Park Speedway, Bloomington Speedway and then Haubstadt’s Tri-State Speedway.
“We feel good going into it, we had a fast car every night of Eastern Storm so we just need to continue to build upon that,” Bacon explains. “Hopefully we can eliminate any mechanical problems and have a good week.”
Bacon, a two-time USAC National Sprint Car champion, won the 2016 Indiana Sprintweek title and enters this year’s edition of Sprintweek ranked sixth in points. Bacon has posted past Sprintweek wins at both Lawrenceburg and Putnamville.
