8 Guyon takes Night 1 and 34 Weirsma wins final night - July 6, 7, 2018 Central Alberta Raceways, Rimbey Alberta

July 6 - Heat 1 Had 22D Darryl Belanger on the pole and lead all 10 laps for the win. On the last lap 14 Orgar and 2 Evans got tangled up on corner 4 and Evans comes to a stop at front straight at the finish. Also ending the night for 2 Kyle Evans.
Heat 2 Had 8 Pierre Guyon take the lead on lap 1 and lead all 10 laps.
Main race 20 laps 8 Guyon leads all 20 laps with 1 caution.
July 7 - Heat 1A Had 11 Kyle Bates on the pole driving the John Wright owned car and 65 Wayne Callihoo on outside pole. 65 Callihoo took the lead on the first lap and lead until lap 5 and 56 Mathewson took the lead and then spun in corner 1 with 65 Callihoo retaking the lead until a caution came out for a car 11 car coming to a stop. 65 Callihoo on the restart lead the rest of the heat race for the win and 14 Orgar in 2nd.
Heat 1B had 22 Belanger on the pole and 50 Shaw on outside pole. 22 Belanger took the lead on lap 1, 36 Goodhope jumped up to 2nd during the race and kept pace with the leader but 22 Belanger kept the lead with 36 Goodhope finishing 2nd.
Heat 2B had 57 Ed Weirsma on the pole and 14 Orgar starting 2nd. 14 took the lead on the start and lead until lap 7 and spun on the back straight with 57 E Weirsma getting tangled up both survived the incident with no caution 34 J Weirsma and 65 Callihoo got by the incident and ran 1st and 2nd for the finish.
Main race had 34 J Weirsma on the pole and 65 Callihoo outside pole for the 25 lap main race. On the start 34 J Weirsma took the lead with 65 Callihoo challenging for the lead on laps 3 in corner 3 and 4 with 34 J Weirsma closing the door on 65 Callihoo, 34 J Weirsma continued leading with 65 Callihoo in 2nd and 36 Goodhope in 3rd. On lap 17 36 Goodhope got under 65 in corners 3 and 4 to take over 2nd place and 65 drop to 3rd with 8 Guyon in 4th. The race had 34 J Weirsma with the win, 36 Goodhope 2nd, 65 Callihoo 3rd, and 8 Guyon in 4th the top 4. Talking to 34 Johnny Weirsma during the night Johnny mentioned this is his first time racing this track and he said he found it challenging in his first heat race and new he had to tighten up his car. Johnny made some changes on the car for the main and paid off giving Johnny his first win at Central Alberta Raceways on his first ever appearance.
