Inside Line Promotions – BEAVER DAM, Wis. (June 25, 2018) – Greg Wilson has made a big leap forward with his program during the last month.

Wilson is now posting top-15 finishes during World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series races that were 10 spots worse during the opening leg of the 2018 season. Wilson and his Hercules Tires, DNC Hydraulics, Ohio Logistics and Gear Alloy Wheels backed team netted a 14th-place finish last Saturday during the Jim “JB” Boyd Memorial presented by Karavan Trailers at Beaver Dam Speedway, where he captured his fourth top 15 during the month of June.

“I still feel like if we could put the whole night together we’ll have some good nights,” he said. “The rain outs are horrible because we’re not getting to try anything we’re working for. Saturday was another okay night. It’s not where we wanted to be, but we can see the progress. We made some changes part way through the race and didn’t make the right ones. We were running around 10th or 11th, but we faded toward the end.”

Last Friday’s show at Farley Speedway in Farley, Iowa, rained out.

Wilson will return to action this Friday and Saturday at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, with the World of Outlaws.

“All the years I’ve raced I’ve never been really good there,” he said. “For us I think it’s extremely important to help us find a good baseline. When you get to the Knoxville Nationals (in August) there are no mulligans. You have to be spot on from the first lap of qualifying. This weekend’s races will help us gauge where we’re at with cars and our motor program.”

Additionally, Wilson and his team want to offer condolences to the family and friends of Jason Johnson, who passed away last weekend.

“There are no words that can express what we think and feel,” he said. “Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with his family and team.”
