Inside Line Promotions – SALINA, Kan. (June 21, 2018) – Scott Bogucki recorded his first Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour presented by SawBlade.com feature victory and he turned a lot of heads in his first ASCS Speedweek outing.

The Australian native recorded two top-five finishes and four top-10 runs in the six events as he and his SawBlade.com sponsored team finished fourth in the Speedweek standings.

“I couldn’t have asked for a much better Speedweek,” he said. “It was a huge learning curve with the new tracks and new setups. I can’t thank my guys, Dillon Paddock and Danny Heskin, enough for all they did for me last week.”

Bogucki picked up his first career ASCS win on June 12 at Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, Texas.

“We started on the pole and held off Sammy (Swindell),” he said. “If you would have told me I would win at that track, let alone it being my first win. I’m normally just okay at Devil’s Bowl, but the guys had the car really, really good.”

Bogucki said the only “stumble” for the week happened the next night at Lawton Speedway in Lawton, Okla., where he finished 15th.

“I started eighth and was up to fifth, but I made a mistake and got too cautions on the ledge and got snug and tagged the wall,” he said. “If I don’t do that I finish top three for sure in Speedweek points.”

Bogucki rebounded by posting a fourth-place finish last Thursday at Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa, Okla.

“We ran top three most of the race and got passed on the last lap,” he explained.

Bogucki and the SawBlade.com team wrapped up Speedweek last Saturday at Salina Speedway with an 11th-place showing.

“The track rubbered up about three laps in and it was pretty much follow the leader after that,” he said.

The Speedweek performance helped propel Bogucki up a spot in the championship standings to seventh as the series heads to the Pacific Northwest for the 47th annual Jim Raper Memorial Dirt Cup this Thursday through Saturday at Skagit Speedway in Alger, Wash.

“I’ve never seen Skagit and only got to Grays Harbor when I helped Johnny Herrera,” he said. “It’s so beautiful out here and I’m glad to be racing where it isn’t 100 degrees every day.”
