At a Glance: The Magic City Showdown at Nodak Speedway

Concord, NC—August 16, 2010—

WHAT
•The Gerdau Ameristeel Magic City Showdown Presented by Sleep Inn & Suites at Nodak Speedway in Minot, North Dakota awaits the World of Outlaws on Friday, August 20 and Saturday, August 21, which kicks off the 2010 Gold Rush Tour, that will take the series to six tracks in four different states and one Canadian Province as the stretch run of the season kicks into high gear. Joey Saldana currently holds a nine-point lead over 20-time series champion Steve Kinser with 21 A-Feature events remaining on the season. Danny Lasoski is the defending race winner at Nodak Speedway, while four-time and defending series champion Donny Schatz is looking for his first World of Outlaws win at his home track. Jason Meyers, who is third in points, was victorious at the track in 2008.
WHEN
•On Friday, August 20 at Nodak Speedway, the pit gates will open at 2 p.m. Central, with the grandstand gates opening at 4 p.m. Central and hot laps are set for 6 p.m. Central with time trials to follow. Racing is set for 7:30 Central.

•On Saturday, August 21 at Nodak Speedway, the pit gates will open at 2 p.m. Central, with the grandstand gates opening at 4 p.m. Central and hot laps are set for 6 p.m. Central with time trials to follow. Racing is set for 7:30 Central.

WHERE
• Nodak Speedway is located in Minot, North Dakota at the North Dakota State Fairgrounds, east of downtown on Business U.S. 2.

TICKETS
•On Friday, August 20 at Nodak Speedway, adult reserved tickets will be $33 in advance and $35 the day of the race, with reserved tickets for children ages 12-under $15 in advance and $15 the day of the race. Pit combos are also available for advance purchase only for $38, which includes a reserved ticket and a pit pass. For tickets call SLS Promotions at 815-344-2023 or the Nodak Race Club at 701-833-6501.
