Inside Line Promotions – KNOXVILLE, Iowa (June 18, 2018) – Brian Brown is off to the hottest start of his career at Knoxville Raceway, where he captured his sixth feature victory in seven A Main starts last Saturday.

“We’ve had a really, really good start up there this year,” he said. “We’ve been consistently good. When you’re in the hunt every night you can try little things. This weekend we used a brand new Maxim. I wanted to make sure we had a couple different cars to choose from when the money is on the line. That just shows you the craftsmanship of Maxim. It was a good, solid night.

“You hear horror stories of getting new cars out and having issues. Ours work flawlessly. We’re proud to be partners with them. It shows too the consistency at how Chad builds them. You can do the same things to your cars if the manufacturers do their job and Chad does his. When you do all those things they work like the others. We’re very fortunate to have all those aspects.”

Brown opened the event by qualifying fourth quickest. He then advanced from fifth to third place in a heat race, which lined him up on the inside of the second row for the 20-lap A Main.

“Lynton (Jeffrey) was doing a good job of moving around the track and making me move around,” he said. “We were able to pass him once on the bottom and the yellow came out. It took us three or four laps to get by him again. We got through traffic well. I felt like we had a solid night with no issues.”

Brown took the lead on Lap 7 and cruised to his fifth triumph of the season in the 410ci winged sprint car division at Knoxville Raceway. He has also been victorious in 360ci winged sprint car competition to give him a half dozen wins this season, which ties his personal record of victories in a season at Knoxville Raceway. He also won six times at the half-mile oval in 2010.

“Chad, Michael, dad and Jordan did a great job,” he said. “It’s not just our chassis that works well. Our FK shocks are really good. The biggest component is Charlie Garrett. I feel like I have the best engine builder in the country. He’s a big part of our team.”

Brown will continue to ride his momentum into his debut at Farley Speedway in Farley, Iowa, on Friday with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series before he returns to Knoxville Raceway on Saturday.
