Inside Line Promotions – JACKSON, Minn. (June 13, 2018) – Greg Wilson is North Dakota bound for a pair of World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series shows this weekend.

Wilson and his Hercules Tires, DNC Hydraulics, Ohio Logistics and Gear Alloy Wheels backed team are slated to compete on Friday at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks during the Northern Tour and on Sunday at Nodak Speedway in Minot during the Magic City Showdown.

“We only get to North Dakota a couple of times each year so it’ll be fun to return to both tracks,” he said. “They can both be racy, fun tracks and we’ve had decent results at both places.”

Wilson posted a career-best 10th-place finish at River Cities Speedway last year and he earned a career-best 12th at Nodak Speedway in 2016.

The team is coming off a busy week, which began a week ago Tuesday at Fairbury American Legion Speedway in Fairbury, Ill., during the FVP Platinum Battery Showdown. Wilson clawed his way into the show by charging from seventh to second place in the Last Chance Showdown, but he was caught up in a race-ending crash midway through the main event.

“That was a small track where everything happens quickly,” he said. “There were two cars spinning ahead of us. Someone checked up right in front of me and I didn’t have time to miss it so we got upside down. It was an unfortunate end to the night, but those things happen in racing.”

Wilson then ventured to Jackson Motorplex for the 40th annual AGCO Jackson Nationals. Thursday’s opening night rained out and was postponed to Saturday afternoon, putting three full World of Outlaws shows in a 28-hour span.

Although the end results weren’t what Wilson anticipated, he produced several bright moments throughout the tricky weekend.

“Kudos to Tod Quiring and everyone at Jackson Motorplex for putting on a big event,” he said. “The weather was difficult for everyone just like it has been for almost every World of Outlaws show this season. Thankfully we got all three races in and we were able to learn more and add to our notebook for when we return to Jackson Motorplex. Now I’m excited to get back to action this weekend in North Dakota.”

Prior to this weekend’s races Wilson has a Hercules Tires visit on Thursday at Norman County Raceway in Ada, Minn., from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
