Inside Line Promotions – KENNEDALE, Texas (June 13, 2018) – Zane Lawrence was able to pull off a sixth-place finish despite fighting a fuel line problem during Saturday night’s race at Kennedale Speedway Park.
Lawrence jumped back behind the wheel of Bob Odom’s 305ci sprint car and rejoined the IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car Series for another show at Kennedale Speedway Park on Saturday.
“It’s always fun getting to race with these guys and the series,” Lawrence said. “We’re having fun and enjoying racing for Bob and logging some laps as well.”
Due to the RaceSaver rules and points system, Lawrence was relegated to start from the tail of a heat race. He advanced from eighth to fourth, but was lined up at the back of the field for the feature as well.
Lawrence, who started the A Main on the outside of the sixth row, made his way through the field to sixth before he encountered a problem with a fuel line.
“It makes it a challenge to have to race our way through the field each week, but I’m always up for a challenge,” he said. “I feel like we could have picked off a few more spots, but I didn’t want to push the issue with the fuel line problem. We will take a sixth-place finish though.”
The sixth-place result marked his second straight top 10 and third of the season.
