Inside Line Promotions – DELPHOS, Ohio (June 12, 2018) – Though Shawn Dancer had an off weekend from racing, he used it to prepare for the busy weekend of racing that is coming up.
Ohio Sprint Speedweek with the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions starts this Friday at Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio.
“It’s hard to believe Speedweek is here already,” he said. “I don’t even think we’re over our rainy months yet.”
Dancer plans to run at Attica Raceway Park on Friday, at Eldora Speedway near Rossburg, Ohio, on Saturday and at Waynesfield Raceway Park in Waynesfield, Ohio, on Sunday.
“We’ve run Attica once this year,” he said. “We didn’t do too well so hopefully we’ll get it figured out this time around.”
Dancer has tackled Eldora Speedway a handful of times this year, including World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series shows and 360ci sprint car races. He is hopeful to produce a good outcome on Saturday.
“I feel like we’re getting better all the time at Eldora,” he said. “Sunday at Waynesfield we’ll run both the 360ci and the 410ci sprint cars. We ran okay there earlier in the year so it should be all right.”
Dancer is most looking forward to Eldora Speedway this weekend.
“We’ve made some changes in the 410 with the chassis and some engine parts,” he said. “It’ll be interesting to see how those pan out for us.”
As for the rest of Speedweek, Dancer said he is unsure of what races they’ll be able to hit because of work.
