The weather forecast for Jun 8-9 Double Header at Castrol Raceway was Extreme weather patterns with risk of rain of Jun 8 and on Jun 9 Weather warning of a Tornado with reports of tornado's touchdown east of Castrol Raceway.
Got to hand it to Castrol Raceway and Ginga Ninja Dirt Promotions to have faith that mother nature is an extreme sprints race fan.
Friday June 8 had 6 Tom Watts on the pole of Heat 1 with 36 Chevy Goodhope starting outside pole. Tom Watts took the lead on the start and never looked back on the 8 lap heat race with Chevy Goodhope 2nd of the top 2.
Heat 2 had 65 Wayne Callihoo on the pole with 22D Daryl Belanger on outside pole. Wayne Callihoo lead from the pole on all 8 laps with Daryl Belanger in 2nd place.
The weather held off fine and was able to get the 20 lap Main Feature Completed.
The top 4 starting positions was inverted which put 22D Daryl Belanger on the pole and 36 Chevy Goodhope starting outside pole with 65 Wayne Callihoo starting 3rd and 6 Tom Watts starting 4th.
Goodhope took the lead with Watts a close 2nd and Watts taken the lead in lap 5 and held it until lap 8 and Goodhope retook the lead. Callihoo following in 3rd up to Lap 14 and while Callihoo was going around a lap car he touched the turn 2 exit wall and cut down a right rear tire bringing out the caution. Callihoo's crew and other race team crew members pitched in to change the tire while under caution and get the car back out to restart at the back of the field.
On the restart Goodhope started 1st and continued to hold his position, with Watts in 2nd, Guyon running 3rd until lap 18 and Guyon took over 2nd place from Watts.
Meanwhile at the back of the field Callihoo was making his was back up from the back of the field on the restart and worked his way up and had a good run with 2R Paul Rouleau driving the Gee & Gee Racing Rent a Race car and Callihoo getting by Rouleau on lap 19 for 6th.
Goodhope took the win with Guyon 2nd, Watts 3rd and 97 Dusseault for the top 4 finish. Goodhope, Watts and Dusseault also raced in the 360 class feature.

Saturday June 9 was a hot day to start the evening with risk of extreme thunderstorms and tornado warning.
Heat 1 Had 11 Grant Rude on the pole and 6 Tom Watts starting outside pole.
Rude took the lead from the start Callihoo in 2nd until lap 4 when Guyon took over 2nd place with Rude in the lead.
On lap 7 Guyon slowed in turn 2 and Watts passed Callihoo for 2nd place.
Guyon came to a stop pulled off the track. Race finished with 11 Rude taken the win with 6 Watts taking 2nd place.
Heat 2 50 Scott Shaw starting on the pole with 22D Daryl Belanger on the outside pole. Shaw took the lead and the start with Belanger running 2nd place.
The race order stayed the same throughout the Heat 2 race with 50 Shaw taken the win 22D Belanger finishing 2nd.
The weather once again was looking not good but was able to get the 20 lap Main feature completed. The top 4 starting positions for the Main race was inverted with 22d Daryl Belanger on the pole, 6 Tom Watts outside pole, 50 Scott Shaw 3rd and 11 Grant Rude 4th.
On the start Tom Watts took the lead up to lap 6 when Chevy Goodhope took the lead with Wayne Callihoo running a close 3rd. On Lap 11 Watts car slowed and brought out a caution. Watts pulled into the pits and his night was over. On the restart had Goodhope in 1st, Callihoo in 2nd and Shaw 3rd.
On lap 15 Shaw took over 2nd place from Callihoo. The race ended 2nd generation racer 36 Chevy Goodhope son of long time racer Cory Goodhope with the win making it a weekend clean sweep in the Alberta Extreme Sprints. 50 Shaw finished 2nd, 65 Callihoo 3rd and 11 Rude with 4th.
