Jackson Motorplex Showcasing Sprint Car Show Friday and IMCA Frostbuster Event Saturday

Inside Line Promotions – JACKSON, Minn. (June 11, 2018) – Jackson Motorplex has a pair of stout events on tap this weekend.

The 4/10-mile oval will host Midwest Sprint Touring Series 360 sprint cars, Heartland Steel RaceSaver sprint cars presented by Wyffels Hybrids and NSL non-wing sprint cars presented by HitchDoc on Friday before welcoming IMCA a mods, IMCA sport mods, IMCA stock cars, IMCA hobby stocks and IMCA sport compacts on Saturday for Bank Midwest presents the IMCA Frostbuster.

Friday marks the second 360ci winged sprint car show of the season. Ryan Bickett held off Jack Dover two weeks ago to claim the opening round of the DeKalb/Asgrow presents the Midwest Power Series by GRP Motorsports.

Trevor Serbus enters this weekend with a three-point lead in the Heartland Steel RaceSaver sprint cars presented by Wyffels Hybrids championship standings over Kaleb Johnson, the most recent winner, and Jacob Hughes.

Alex Schriever holds a 12-point advantage over Brandon Halverson in the NSL non-wing sprint cars presented by HitchDoc championship standings. Both drivers have won this season at the track.

Saturday will be the first event of the season for the IMCA classes and it’s a big one during Bank Midwest presents the IMCA Frostbuster, which was delayed twice earlier this year. All IMCA divisions will be presented a unique opportunity as the winner’s payout in the A Main will be doubled if 24 or more cars show up in a given class.

Without the bonus, IMCA a mods will race for $600 to win, IMCA stock cars and IMCA sport mods pay $500 to the winner, the IMCA hobby stocks winner will be awarded $300 and the IMCA sport compacts victor takes home $100 to win. Those figures will double if at least two dozen drivers compete.

The pits open at 4 p.m. with the main grandstand gates opening at 5 p.m. each night. Hot laps are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Friday and 7 p.m. on Saturday.

Tickets on Friday are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors ages 62-years-old and older and $5 for students ages 13-years-old to 18-years-old. Children ages 12-years-old and younger get in free. Pit passes are $30 for adults and $15 for children ages 12-years-old and younger.

All IMCA classes will have a $10 draw fee.

There will be a test-and-tune session on Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. All fender cars, including late models, are welcome. The pits open at 5 p.m.

Pit passes are $20 for adults and $10 for children ages 12-years-old and younger. Grandstand admission is free.

Additionally, the ASA Auto Plaza Facebook Fan of the Week will win two tickets to Friday’s event.
