Inside Line Promotions – JACKSON, Minn. (June 4, 2018) – Robbie Price will take part in the annual Speedweek for the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour presented by Sawblade.com beginning this weekend.

The 2018 edition of Speedweek will see the ASCS National Tour visit six tracks in nine nights in three different states. Texas leads the way with three dates, while a pair of shows will be contested in Oklahoma and one in Kansas.

“I’ve run some Speedweek and Speedweek-type formats in the past, but nothing this intense,” Price said. “I’m really looking forward to it. You have to do your job every night and then get up the next day and do it all over again. We’ve had some speed in the downtime since we’ve had an ASCS race so hopefully we can transfer that on through.”

All but one of the six tracks on the Speedweek schedule will be venues that Price is seeing for the first time. The driver of the No. 21 for the BDS Motorsports team enters the six-race mini-series just outside of the top 10 in the ASCS National Tour championship standings. Price has a pair of top-10 finishes during national races thus far in 2018.

“I watch videos on each track and see how they race,” Price said when asked how he will prepare for Speedweek. “Also, throughout the night I go and see what the track looks like and what the surface is doing. Our goal is to make the show each night and if we can run in the top 10 that would be great.”

Last Friday Price made his debut at the recently reconfigured Jackson Motorplex during the DeKalb/Asgrow presents the Midwest Power Series by GRP Motorsports. The event was sanctioned by the Carpet Land Nebraska 360 Sprints, Midwest Sprint Touring Series and Upper Midwest Sprint Car Series. Price finished sixth in his heat race and then had a mechanical failure in the B Main, which ended his night.

“Tod (Quiring) is doing a great job up there,” Price said. “That is a beautiful facility and the track was pretty good. We struggled a little bit. I put myself in a little bit of a hole at the start of the heat race and fell back a spot. I started deep in the B Main and on the first lap we broke. We’ll just put that behind us and move on.”

Price will kick off the ASCS National Tour Speedweek this Friday at West Texas Speedway in Lubbock, Texas. He will then head to Route 66 Motor Speedway in Amarillo, Texas, on Saturday. Speedweek then takes a two-day break before three straight nights of racing followed by a day off before the finale.
