Unfortunately, Friday night's USAC Midget Week event was rained out midway through midget qualifying. Following an inch and a half of rain on Thursday and more rain on Friday morning, Bloomington Speedway crews put in a herculean effort and were still able to open the gates on time Friday afternoon. It appeared a great night of racing was ahead, when a popup storm flooded much of the pits and track area. Unfortunately we would not have been able to recover the track and wait for the ground to dry enough to continue considering the noise ordinance restrictions we operate under. We are working with USAC to potentially reschedule this event in the near future, and will have an announcement in the next several days. At that time we will provide details on reuse of rainchecks and pit wristbands.
