Schuett debuts new Runaway Chassis micro, earns three top five finishes over Memorial Day weekend

Edmond, OK (May 30, 2018) Kyle Schuett made his return to micro sprint racing this past weekend in a brand new Runaway Chassis house car, and you would have never been able to tell that he was making his first micro start in quite some time. To say he and the Runaway Chassis team had a good weekend would be quite an understatement. Picking up two heat race wins and three top five finishes in just three nights of racing, Kyle had a great Memorial Day weekend racing around Central and Southern Illinois.
On Saturday night, Kyle and the Runaway Chassis team headed to the Southern Illinois Raceway in Marion, Illinois. Kyle kicked off his weekend by earning a heat race win and a fourth-place finish in the A-main. For it being Kyle’s first night back in a micro and it being a brand new car for Runaway Chassis, it was a good night in Marion. On Sunday, Kyle and the team headed to Jacksonville Speedway where Kyle picked up another heat race win and improved to a second-place finish in the A-main. Finishing out the holiday weekend on Monday, Kyle headed to the Mighty Macon Speedway where he moved from fifth to third in his heat race and then from sixth to fourth in the A-main. Three nights of racing and three finishes inside the top five, quite a successful debut for Kyle and the Runaway Chassis team.
Kyle will now have a few days off as he and his Schuett Racing team prepare for POWRi Speed Week, which kicks off next Wednesday at Belle-Clair Speedway in Belleville, IL. From there, the POWRi National Midget League will go to Brownstown on Thursday, Jacksonville on Friday, Macon on Saturday, and finish up at Lincoln Speedway on Saturday. It will be a busy five-day span for the small Schuett team, but Kyle and crew are ready to take on the challenges of the POWRi Speed Week. Be sure to follow POWRi on Facebook and Twitter for live updates each night. Schuett Racing’s Facebook page will have updates following each night as well.
Kyle would like to send a big thank you to the guys at Runaway Chassis for the opportunity to drive the fast #46 micro and he looks forward to getting back in it as his schedule permits. Also, as always, Kyle would also like to thank all of his sponsors and partners for making this season possible.
