The USAC East Coast Sprint Cars have been gaining momentum as the Inaugural 2018 Season heats up. Steven Drevicki of Reading, Pennsylvania won the first show at the Delaware International Speedway on April 18th. Ryan Godown of Ringoes, New Jersey was victorious at the second show for the series at Big Diamond Speedway. The current points leader, Eddie Strada, of Lake Ariel, Pennsylvania was the runner up for both shows. Ryan Quackenbush of Goshen, New York was the Franks Fine Swine and Beef Hard Charger both times as well!
With the start-up series being a small 10 shows, it is with great disappointment we must announce the cancellation of what should have been our third show, at Accord Speedway. The promotional team at Accord Speedway has been a big supporter of wingless racing and we were excited to bring our series to the New York State bullring. Due to losing a sponsor for the race, the Accord promoters were forced to cancel the show for USAC-EC. However unfortunate, we understand the difficulties promotional teams can face.
Series director, Curt Michael says, "It wasn't meant to be for this year. We will continue to carry the great momentum from our first two shows into the rest of the season. This won't slow us down. I'd like to wish Gary and Accord Speedway all the best this year as Gary mentioned they were having a tough year with rainouts."
On behalf of the USAC East Coast Sprint Car series, we'd like to thank all the fans, drivers, teams, and tracks that have supported us so far and will continue to support us throughout our first season. We will continue to work on growing and giving more fans fantastic shows.
See you all on June 8th at Bedford Speedway!!
