Taylor Eager to Return to Racing With POWRi Lucas Oil RMMRA Series

Inside Line Promotions – GREEN RIVER, Wyo. (May 18, 2018) – It’s been almost three months since Zac Taylor kicked off his season and he’s itching to get back behind the wheel of a race car.

The next opportunity is this Saturday when the 2018 season gets underway for the POWRi Lucas Oil Rocky Mountain Midget Racing Association. Taylor will drive the Todd Henry Racing machine during the Jim Barr Memorial at I-76 Speedway in Fort Morgan, Colo.

“I’ve been itching to go racing and we are ready to go chase the RMMRA title,” said Taylor, who finished fourth in the RMMRA championship standings last year.

Not only is Taylor eager to get back to racing, he’s had tremendous success at I-76 Speedway, where he recorded his first-ever midget feature win in 2017.
“Two years ago I led all but seven laps before we had mag problems, too,” he said.

Taylor and Henry will join the POWRi Lucas Oil RMMRA Series during Memorial Day Weekend for the 3rd annual Midget Round Up at Airport Raceway in Garden City, Kan. The event is co-sanctioned with the POWRi Lucas Oil West Midget Series.

“That will be a huge weekend with POWRi as well,” Taylor said. “MAVTV will be broadcasting the races. I’m excited to see how we stack up against a great field of cars.”

Taylor said his family purchased a 360ci engine for their sprint car during the offseason and his 305ci engine has been freshened.

“We get the sprint car wrapped next week and will hopefully start racing the sprint car very soon,” he said. “Our main focus this year is on the midget though.”
