Why #5? Cameron explained that the number came about because his Grandpa Hagin always ran the #5. When his dad (Craig) and himself ran at Port City his dad was #35 and so Cameron ran #5 and has ever since.
Why Wingless Racing? He explained that it’s simply more fun, relies more in the driver capabilities and you’ve got to drive the thing.
Car Owner: Kenneth Hagin.
Crew: The crew begins with (soon-to-be wife) Madison Vanderford, as she prepares his helmet, provides words of encouragement, then tells him when he needs to get his elbows up and drive the thing. Tracy Chapman is the truck driver/tire guy, (Dad) Craig Hagin handles the fueling duties for the #5 Sprinter and Jesse R. steps up as crew chief when he is able to help out.
2018 is 4 Wheel Parts of Tulsa 1st year of helping the #5 Sprinter stay competitive as well as Marc Crocker Insurance that is in his 3rd season of sponsorship. RC Specialist provides maintenance on the truck and they also have been a long time sponsor.
Cameron said this is his 3rd year of running the Wayne Simmons Twister Chassis and is in his 5th year of running the David Stephenson DSO Racing Engines.
