26 Promotions – Casa Grande, AZ – (May 15, 2018) – Keelan Matthews entered Central Arizona Speedway’s Rock N Rumble looking to continue his string of top ten finishes to start his rookie season in the Micro Sprint division.
Matthews started on the pole in his heat but got tangled up with another car ending his race early. Matthews and his team were able to get the car repaired for the feature where he started 12th.
Matthews was able to move up one position during the feature, finishing just outside the top ten for the first time this season.
“We showed up with a fast car, and it definitely wasn’t the result we were looking for,” explained Matthews. “The right rear wheel broke in the heat and we were able to get it set up for the main. I really have to thank Carlos, Jeff, Cory, and my dad for getting the car repaired and back out for the main.”
Matthews will be back in action on Saturday night at Central Arizona Speedway running non-wing with the Power 600 Series Micros.
Keelan Matthews would like to thank his Mom and Dad, Lucas Oil, Protect the Harvest, and PS Electric for their continued support.
