Inside Line Promotions – ROSSBURG, Ohio (May 15, 2018) – Trey Starks will attempt to defend his home away from home turf this week when the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series visits Central Pennsylvania.

The Washington native turned Pennsylvania transplant is slated to compete this Wednesday at Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown during the Gettysburg Clash and Friday and Saturday at Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg during the Morgan Cup.

“It’s always exciting when you race with the World of Outlaws, especially in Central Pennsylvania,” he said. “There will be a ton of great competitors each night so if you’re able to put together a successful night it really means something.”

The Gobrecht Motorsports driver was racing for a top 10 when he was involved in a race-ending crash during his lone start at Lincoln Speedway this season. Starks scored a fifth-place result to highlight his three visits to Williams Grove Speedway this year.

“We’ve had great runs at both tracks,” he said. “I know qualifying will be very important and I feel like we’ve been able to qualify well at Lincoln and Williams Grove in the past. If we can do that this week we’ll be in good shape.”

The team raced with the World of Outlaws last weekend at Eldora Speedway, where Starks qualified 27th quickest, ended seventh in a heat race and finished 10th in the Last Chance Showdown on Friday. He timed in 10th quickest overall on Saturday before placing seventh in a heat race and fifth in the Last Chance Showdown to end one position shy of transferring into the A Main.

“It was a disappointing weekend,” he said. “The results certainly weren’t what we expected so it will be good to get back to a couple of our home tracks this week to get back on track.”
