Inside Line Promotions – LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (May 15, 2018) – Robbie Price had a learning week with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour presented by SawBlade.com, which raced at three tracks in two states during a four-day period.

The action got underway last Wednesday at Humboldt Speedway in Humboldt, Kan., where Price was caught up in a crash during his heat race. That lined the BDS Motorsports driver up on the outside of the 10th row for the A Main.

“I got together with someone in the heat and didn’t finish so that put me back pretty far,” he said after ending 19th. “The track rubbered up pretty quick so we didn’t have much opportunity to move forward. It could have been better, but it was a learning experience for sure.”

Price ventured to Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kan., on Thursday. He advanced a position to finish fifth in a heat race before a sixth-place result in the B Main lined him up on the outside of the 11th row for the main event.

“It was a struggle to be honest,” he said. “I ran okay in the heat race. I felt good and was comfortable, but there wasn’t a whole lot of passing going on. That put me in the B Main. I tried running the bottom too long. By the time I got to the top I was too far behind.”

Price was involved in an early incident in the main event, which ended his night with a 22nd-place result.

The week wrapped up on Saturday at I-30 Speedway, where Price maneuvered from sixth to third place during a heat race. That earned enough points to make the feature redraw and he pulled the No. 1 to start the main event on the pole.

“It was the most comfortable I’ve felt all year,” he said. “The heat race went really well and then I drew the pole position. I dropped to second on the opening lap and was running there on Lap 2 when someone got into me in turns three and four. It was just one of those things that happens in racing.”

The crash damaged enough to keep Price from restarting the race and he was credited with a 22nd-place run for the second straight race.

Price will venture to a pair of new tracks this weekend as he invades Princeton Speedway in Princeton, Minn., on Friday during the 16th annual Billy Anderson Memorial and Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wis., on Saturday with the Upper Midwest Sprint Car Series.
