Inside Line Promotions – SALINA, Okla. (May 9, 2018) – Greg Wilson will make his season debut in his home state this weekend when he ventures to Eldora Speedway near Rossburg, Ohio, on Friday and Saturday for a World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series doubleheader.

“It’s always great to race closer to home,” he said. “Not only because it allows our friends and family to see us, but we have a lot more confidence and comfort knowing we’re racing at a track we’ve had a lot of experience at.”

Eldora Speedway is one of Wilson’s best tracks. He captured a World of Outlaws victory at the half-mile oval in 2015 to go with three Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions triumphs and nine 360ci winged sprint car wins.

“It is a confidence boost going to a track where you’ve won and had a lot of successful nights,” he said. “We’re really excited about this weekend.”

Wilson has recorded at least one top-five finish at Eldora Speedway during five of the last eight seasons, including some impressive charges through the field.

This weekend will conclude on Sunday with a World of Outlaws show at Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Ind., where rain has postponed the first two attempts to complete the event.

Wilson had a solid outing last weekend during a pair of World of Outlaws races in the Midwest. He opened the weekend on Friday by maneuvering from 22nd to 15th in the A Main at Lake Ozark Speedway in Eldon, Mo. The performance was tied for the second-most cars passed.

“It was good to be able to move forward late in the night,” he said. “It’s tough to start in the back and make a lot of progress because of how fast and even everyone is these days. Any time you can move forward several positions it’s a positive and something we can build on.”

Wilson capped the weekend on Saturday at Salina Highbanks Speedway with a top-20 outing.

“The track took rubber pretty early on so you had to get what you could in the first couple of laps,” he said. “Once it becomes rubber down you try to ride around and not risk blowing a tire and damaging your equipment.”
