Inside Line Promotions – ATTICA, Ohio (May 8, 2018) – Shawn Dancer ventured to Attica Raceway Park last Friday for the first time this season.
Although the result wasn’t what his team hoped to achieve, a problem was solved.
“The past two weekends have been a struggle for us,” Dancer said. “At Attica last weekend we qualified 24th and started and finished seventh in our heat race.”
Dancer had to run the B Main, in which he started fourth and finished seventh.
“We figured out that we’ve been struggling so bad because our shocks weren’t correct,” he said. “When we went out for the B Main the other night, the car felt a lot better after we fixed the shocks. We didn’t go anywhere in the B Main, but that was because of some other mechanical issues.”
Dancer and the team will head to Eldora Speedway near Rossburg, Ohio, this weekend to run with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series and they hope that having their shock problem fixed will be a big help.
“Though we might lack a bit of motor on a big track like Eldora, we’re aiming to at least make one A Main this weekend,” Dancer said. “We’ve had some decent luck with the Outlaws at Eldora before so we’re hoping to run pretty well and have some fun.”
