Thomas Kennedy swapped the front spot with Jody Rosenboom in the early laps of Saturday’s MSTS 360 feature at Wagner Speedway. Kennedy put the #21K in the lead on the third circuit and would go to his third career win with the series from there.
Behind Kennedy, the racing was intense. Jack Dover took third from Gregg Bakker on lap seven with leaders entering traffic on the following circuit. On lap 10, Lee Grosz followed and took fourth from Bakker. Four laps later, Grosz was again on the move, this time taking third from Dover in turn two. The battle wasn’t over though as Dover reclaimed the spot only to have Grosz make the pass once again.
The yellow waved on lap 17 when Eric Lutz and Taylor Forbes tangled in turn three. Both cars retired from the event.
Kennedy led the rest of the way with Rosenboom second at the checkered. Grosz was a close third ahead of Bakker and Dover.
Next up for the Property Solutions of America Midwest Sprint Touring Series is a Friday night date at Rapid Speedway on May 18.
