MECHANICSBURG, Penn. (May 3, 2018) Gearing up for a weekend with the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by Sawblade.com, Pennsylvania’s Ryan Smith will be in action at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday, May 4 in both ASCS and 410cid in addition to taking on the National Tour at Selinsgrove Speedway on Saturday, May 5.
Last competing with the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by Sawblade.com at Cocopah Speedway in 2017 for Ryan Linder, this go-round will put Smith on his home turf in the Specialty Rigging/Ed Nowotarski Racing No. 10x for ASCS competition along with the Selinsgrove Ford No. 94 in 410cid action.
“I’m looking forward to racing with the ASCS again. We’ve actually struggled a little bit at The Grove the last couple times we’ve been there, but I have a lot of laps there and being home turf, it’s going to be interesting,” commented Smith.
“We’re running double, and it looks like a few Pennsylvania guys are going to be showing up with 360’s as well. It’s something different, a change of pace, and racing against some really good guys.”
Smith has made a pair of A-Features with the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by Sawblade.com with one finish in the top-ten. Smith has one career win in 410cid action at Williams Grove Speedway.
“I’ve been looking forward to this weekend since it was announced over the winter and hope everything goes the way we want it to and we walk out with the win.”
