Inside Line Promotions – PADUCAH, Ky. (May 3, 2018) – Every racer has a night where they would like a do-over. Such is the case for Scott Bogucki after competing with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour presented by SawBlade.com last Friday at Paducah International Raceway.

Bogucki, who is in his rookie season on the ASCS National Tour, started on the front row of the A Main, but caught a rut entering turns one and two on Lap 2 while he was leading. He went for a wild ride, which resulted in a bent race car and a 24th-place finish for the SawBlade.com backed team.

“That was my style of track, smaller and a little rough,” said Bogucki, who advanced from sixth to third place during a heat race to open the night. “That was my golden opportunity for a win. This is the one that got away. I just got into the corner too hot and caught a rut and I was just a passenger after that.”

Bogucki said the Maxim chassis will be sent in for repairs and a back-up J&J chassis is being assembled for this weekend of racing in Pennsylvania.

“I really liked that Maxim and hopefully Kenny Woodruff will get it good as new and we can put it back together when we get back west,” he said. “For now I’m down to one car so I have to keep that in the back of my mind.”

Following Friday’s crash, Bogucki headed to Lima, Ohio, where Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions contender Aaron Reutzel has a shop.

“We went through the motor and it appears okay,” he said.

Bogucki and the SawBlade.com sponsored team will head to the tough Central Pennsylvania territory this weekend, competing on Friday at the historic Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg and Saturday at Selinsgrove Speedway in Selinsgrove during the Battle of the Groves.

“We ASCS teams will certainly have our hands full,” he said. “I expect a lot of the Pennsylvania Posse will have 360 engines in like Greg Hodnett, Danny Dietrich, Lucas Wolfe. My goal is to first make the show and then gain some momentum and gain valuable points.”

Bogucki currently sits 10th in the ASCS National Tour championship standings.

“I know we only have four shows in, but I feel we should be in the top five,” he said. “We just need to put an entire night together and build on it. Everything seems to knock us down lately, but we will keep working hard and get this turned around.”
