26 Promotions – Casa Grande, AZ – (May 1, 2018) – Keelan Matthews overcame early shifter issues to score his fifth top-ten finish in his fifth Power 600 Series start on Saturday night.

“We had high expectations for this weekend,” said Matthews. “We had some engine trouble over the last few races, and we were able to get that fixed for this weekend. We started on the pole for our heat, and I was loose in the corners. We got tangled up and weren’t able to finish the heat.”

Matthews and his dad went to work to repair a bent shifter and had the car ready to go for the feature, where he’d start 15th.

“We got in a little trouble during the main but were able to pull off an eighth-place finish,” he said. “We’ll take the car home to do some repairs and be ready for the next one. I really have to thank Carlos for all the hard work he did to get our car up and running for this race.”

Matthews returns to action at Central Arizona Speedway on May 12th with the Power 600 Series.

Keelan Matthews would like to thank his Mom and Dad, Lucas Oil, Protect the Harvest, and PS Electric for their continued support.
