The sun is shining and the weather is gorgeous outside! Today starts the 2 day race weekend for the Carpetland Nebraska 360 Sprint Series presented by Malvern Bank.
The series will head north of Sioux City, Iowa to Park Jefferson Speedway in a co-sanctioned event with the Property Solutions Midwest Sprint Touring Series. The Pepsi South Dakota Sprint Car Nationals is looking to draw some of the biggest names in 360ci sprint car racing. Tonight will be dual heat races with the first round of heat races determined by pill draw. The second set of heats will be inverted off of the first set of heats finishing order. Accumulated passing points, between the heats, will determine the first 16 spots in the $10,000 to win A main event for tomorrow evening. Heat races will be 2 more laps than the maximum number of cars per heat. Every heat race has a $300 purse being split between the top 3 positions. Twin consolation races will be run followed by the feature event. The remaining eight spots will transfer through twin consolation events. By using Friday points totals is how the consolation and feature events will be lined up.
