26 Promotions – Queen Creek, AZ – (April 24, 2018) – Jarrett Martin overcame early motor issues on Saturday night at Arizona Speedway to score his second ASCS Southwest Region top-ten finish in four races.

“We put a little bit different setup on the car for Saturday’s race,” said Martin. “I knew I had to stay up in the top three in the heat to make the draw, but we had a few problems with the motor stumbling on the start and into the corners. I pulled off a couple of laps in to see if we could get it figured out before the feature.”

The Steve Stone Racing crew went to work to diagnose the issue as soon as Martin pulled in. After making a few changes, Martin was allowed to hot lap the car between races and was ready to fire off for the 25-lap feature.

“We pushed off last for the feature, so I had to make up as much ground as I could early,” Martin explained. “The car was pretty close to dialed in, so we were moving forward pretty decent. A late race caution with two to go had us restarting tenth, and I lost a little bit of my rhythm when the green came out, but by the checkered, I had made it up to ninth. I’m looking forward to getting back in the car in a couple of weeks and seeing how much we can build on Saturday’s run.”

Martin returns to the Steve Stone Racing 57 machine on May 5th at Arizona Speedway; he’ll be back in the Streaker Racing 20az Micro Sprint this Saturday at Central Arizona Speedway.

Jarrett Martin would like to thank Steve Stone Racing, Torco Race Fuels, Macenzie Motorsports, Southwest T-Shirt Company, The Race Shack, Paint by Steve, and J&J Auto Racing for their support.
