Mark Burch Motorsports – Ready or Not Here He Comes!

NEWTON (July 14, 2010) – The Mark Burch Motosports, Chad Humston Racing crew changed it up a little this past weekend, making Knoxville their first stop and heading to Boone County Raceway in Albion, Nebraska, to end their weekend Sunday night.

Saturday night at Knoxville Raceway, just added to the chase for the Mark Burch Motorsports, Chad Humston Racing team. Week after week they put on a great show, battling for their Cup Championship points with drivers like Dustin Selvage; last weekend was no different. Chad went out to start the night qualifying fourth quickest. His time placed him in the fifth starting position for his heat. Due to track conditions it was up to Chad to wrestle the Engler Machine and Tool #1M to a third place finish.

Humston’s finish landed him the sixth place starting position in the main event. The team made minimal changes to the car, which led to an exciting race for everyone. Chad made his move, perfecting a slide job to take Jon Agan and then picking off Russ Hall for the second position. The race went from green to checkered with no stops in between and with lap cars making their appearance Humston would soon find out that Selvage had entered the battle. Clint Garner took the win from his front row starting position as second and third closed the gap during all the traffic. Chad took his #1M to Victory Lane with a third place finish for the evening. “It was a great race, but we felt we were capable of getting the win. We can’t wait to get back to Knoxville to try it again.” Owner Mark Burch said.

It was off to Boone Country Speedway in Albion , Nebraska for the Sunday night show, where they experienced some tough luck but managed to make the best of it. Hot laps were great and confidence hit a high note for the entire team, but an unfortunate engine part failure dictated their heat race finish and scrambling to get it fixed was their new tune. With only two classes and Chad ’s qualifier race first on deck, the team showed their rallying call by changing the engine in fifteen minutes!

The Engler Machine and Tool #1M started the night’s main event in the eleventh place position. Chad fought his was to second but it was Brian Brown who would take the win; even in second place it was a job well done for the Mark Burch Motorsports, Chad Humston Racing team. “We struggled a little with the setup, not having enough time to change much of anything, but we brought home another podium finish and the car in one piece. What a crazy night.” Chad Humston had to say.

Get a front row seat and watch as the Engler Machine and Tool #1M, Mark Burch Motorsports, Chad Humston Racing team makes their way back to Knoxville Raceway, and Chad shows his competition what he’s capable of for this Saturday’s event.
