Bloomington Speedway Hosts Second Race Against Childhood Cancer Night,
Features RaceSaver Sprint Cars, Modifieds, TQ Midgets and Hornets

Bloomington, Indiana – The winged Green Earth Recycling and Composting RaceSaver Sprint Cars headline Bloomington Speedway’s second event of the 2018 racing season. Friday’s racing card also includes the AJ Bowlen Realtor with ReMax Acclaimed Properties-sponsored UMP Modifieds, along with the UMRA King of the TQ Midget Racing Series and our own nasty buzzing Hornets.

Veteran racer Ethan Barrow opened the Indiana RaceSaver sprint car seasons with his Bloomington victory last Friday, and Tyler Nicely did the same in the modifieds. While the UMRA TQ’s are competing in their first race of the season, Jason Setser will be chasing a third consecutive victory on the Bloomington clay oval.

Bloomington was the home of Peyton Hazeltine Whittington, who at 5-years old, died in June 2013 from an inoperable brain tumor. Bloomington Speedway’s Second Race Against Childhood Cancer Night supports charitable donations and proceeds from special activities that will benefit childhood cancer research through The Cure Starts Now Foundation in association with the Peyton’s Angels Indiana Chapter. The planned activities will include raffle items, a 50/50 raffle and special merchandise supporting the organization. More information is available through Indiana.thecurestartsnow.org.

Ticket prices for Friday night are just $15 for General Admission and kids 12 and under are admitted free with an adult general admission. Pit passes are $30. The General Admission gate opens at 5:30, pit gate at 4:30, hot laps start at 6:30 and racing at 7:30.
